AT SPA FLOETRY
The Continuing Education Center at Spa Floetry is an event center that is available for meetings, training classes, or events which require a large space.  Maximum capacity 50 people.

We specialize in Continuing Education credits for massage therapists, physical therapists, chiropractors and health care professionals.  We also offer classes to non-professionals as well.  We partner with only approved providers.  All of our classes are NCBTMB and NSBMT approved.


Krisda Suwannapha, B.A., LMT, Board Certified, NCBTMB Provider NO. 451121-09 -  Krisda is a native of  Thailand who has been studying Thai Massage Therapy since 1960.  His first instructor was abbot Sangworn, Sututwanaram  who preached and taught in a Budhist Temple and specialised in Thai Traditonal medicine.  The Abbott had opened the care and treatement clinic and healed the clients who suffered from generalized illness relevant to neuro muscular skeletal complaints.  He will be teaching Intro to Thai Massage, Thai Massage on the Table, Seated Thai Massage and Thai Foot Massage.   


Our Room includes the use of our Mini kitchen which includes the use of a full size refrigerator, microwave and sink.  Also included with the use of this space is our fireside lounge.

A deposit is required to hold the room.

We also have tables,chairs, stage and video equipment for rent to meet your needs.

INTRO TO THAI  MASSAGE - 8 CEU's

Class Fee:  $285 

 Thai massage is a Thai healing art that it is a four part series to traditional Thai medicine.  It is a form of therapy based on the theory of the flow of energy between specific points on the periphery of the body and internal organs.

 

Thai massage improves circulation, flexibility and muscle tone.  It can take the vital sole in repairing damaged tissue by a blend of acupressure and stretching.  It is especially beneficial for those who find themselves stiff, sore, or tired from over exertion in work or sport or other disorders affecting mobility.  As a holistic approach to healing, the most important function of Thai massage is to stimulate the body’s natural healing process.Participant will be trained how to use meditation to focus on the body through mind and spirit. 

 

**Wear comfortable loose clothing, sheets pillow, note book and water

THAI TABLE MASSAGE - 14 CEU's

Thai massage (nuad Thai) is part of Traditional Thai medicine and a form of manual therapy that involves very efficient methods of hands-on compression, stretching and rhythmic movements with the client clothed on a massage table.  Thai massage is a ancient art that is an incredible therapy for the giver and the receiver.   This course will demonstrae how to properly perform thai massage on the table.  Participant will be trained how to use meditation to focus on the body through mind and spirit. 

 

**Wear comfortable loose clothing; bring massage table, sheets pillow, note book and water

 

Tuesday/Wednesday - 7/20 & 7/21/10 - 9 am - 4 pm

SEATED THAI MASAGE - 14 CEU's

Class Fee:  $255 


Seated Thai Massage can be used as routine work and also can be used as an alternative for the clients who are not able to lie on the ground.  It can be done in office chair, massage chair or even on the floor.

 

It will cover the head, neck, shoulder, back, arms and hands.  This course will present the Thai energy lines and points of a specific area.  The course will also present the proper way to perform with a variety of positions for the giver and receiver.  Participant will be trained how to use meditation to focus on the body through mind and spirit. 

 

**If you own a massage chair, bring to class, wear comfortable loose clothing

THAI FOOT MASSAGE - 8 CEU's

Thai foot massage is a manual massage of the feet and lower legs.  The grown belief system of energy lines and specific points on the feet reflex back to the body’s organs and muscles through energy lines.  Thai foot massage uses a folk instrument such as a massage stick combined with the palm and thumb slide pressing or forearm rolling on foot and leg energy lines with lubricant used or, cream of lotion.  This course will present Thai massage history, principles and procedures including Thai energy lines and points of the foot and leg.  The participant will learn how to perform Thai foot massage properly on the table or chair.
